Mobile QQ FAQ

Q: How do I access the Mobile QQ feature on the QQ client?

A: Open the Mobile QQ panel by clicking on the Mobile icon

Q: How do I open the SMS window to send an SMS using QQ?

A: Click on the Mobile icon on the QQ client, then select Send SMS on the MQQ panel or select a buddy and when the QQ message window opens, you click the Mobile icon.

Q: Can I send SMS's to buddies when they are offline?

A: You can send SMS to buddies who are online or offline. If your buddies are offline, chances are, they aren't near their PC and ready to chat.

Q: How do I sign up for Mobile QQ?

A: Click the Sign up for MQQ icon on the MQQ panel, a Login page opens which allows you to enter your QQ number and password. Then click Login.

Next you enter your mobile number and click Register (so that QQ remembers your mobile number).

Wait for your verification code, it will be sent to you via SMS - this may take a few minutes. When you verification code arrives, enter your verification code and click Submit. You should now be registered with Mobile QQ.

Q: How do I buy SMS Credits?

A: Click the Buy SMS credits icon on the MQQ panel. Next you select how many MQQ credits you wish to purchase. Once you've chosen an option, click Buy. Then you select a payment method. You can choose to pay with your credit card. You can use the following credit cards to buy SMS credits, Mastercard, VISA and Diners Club card. Or you can pay using an MWEB account or an Ican Online account.

When you've chosen your payment method, click Buy QQ Credits. A form appears that allows you to enter your credit card details. Once you've entered your credit cards details correctly, click Next.

You should now have the required amount of mobile credits.

Q: How do I send an SMS?

A: Click on the Send SMS icon on the QQ Mobile Panel. The SMS window will open allowing you to type and then send an SMS to any mobile phone or to a QQ number.

Once you have typed your message, click the Send button.

Note: you need to buy mobile credits before you can send an SMS from QQ.

Q: How do I check my account details?

Click the Account Details icon on the MQQ panel to view your Mobile QQ account details. On the User details page, you can check how many mobile credits you have, view a list of sent and received SMS messages, and a list of credit transactions.

Q: How will I know when someone sends me an SMS?

A: All new incoming SMS messages will show up as pop-up messages. If the mobile sender has bound his mobile number with his QQ number, his QQ number will be displayed with the message. If the sender did not registerhis mobile number with his QQ number, the user's mobile number will be displayed along with the message.

Q: How do I add my friend's mobile number to QQ?

A: Click the Add Mobile icon on the MQQ panel. When the Add Mobile dialog box opens, you enter the following information, your friend's name, his mobile number, the phone type, brand and model no and your friend's QQ number. Once you've entered the information, click Save.
