Installing QQ

First things first: QQ will work on virtually any Windows PC, but to be sure, use the checklist below.

If you want to use QQ Voice Chat (where you talk to your friends instead of typing to them). Make sure your PC has the following specs:

b) You need a working Internet connection.

c) Your PC must have 5 MB of free hard disk space.

STEP 1: Download QQ

If your PC meets the above requirements, go ahead and download QQ now.

TIP: You will see a window entitled "Save As" that asks you where the file qq.exe should be saved. Save it to your PC desktop so you can find it easily later.

The file should take around 8 minutes to download with a standard 56 K modem (file size 4.75 MB).

STEP 2: Install QQ

When the download is finished, stay connected to the Internet, then double-click on the qq.exe file you just downloaded and saved to your desktop. This will start the installation process. Simply follow the prompts to complete the installation.

STEP 3: Register as a new QQ Member

Once the installation is completed QQ will automatically start the registration process. Just do as your computer tells you!
